The Danish owners purchased this property in early 2020 and have since repainted and refurnished the entire spacious villa with hygge (pronounced "hoo-gah") at the core of each renovation decision and purchase. Hygge is a term that roughly translates to "cosiness" but to Danes, the happiest people in the world, hygge illuminates the Danish soul. In essence, hygge means creating a warm atmosphere for enjoying the good things in life with good people. Villa Hygge is an easy 30 minutes north of Gardiner, Montana, the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park. There is ample off-street parking with a circular driveway illuminated by solar lights for easy access in the dark. The entry way has a bench for gear and shoes. The upper level boasts the master king bedroom, powder bathroom, cozy living room with gas fireplace, beautifully appointed dining area, fully stocked kitchen, and an exterior glass encased patio with a propane BBQ complete with ample deck furniture. The floor to ceiling glass windows and doors lends magnificent views of Emigrant peak from most rooms throughout the entire house.The master king bedroom has a spacious walk in closet, an ensuite bathroom with a shower and jetted tub with amazing views of the mountains, as well as a private door to the patio facing Emigrant Peak. Both rooms have large windows for plenty of light and mountain views.The flat rock fireplace and large sectional couch in the living room is the perfect place to relax, watch a show on the large flat screen TV with Sonos surround sound, or enjoy the magnificent views of Emigrant Peak in the heart of Paradise Valley. The whitewashed vaulted ceilings and beautiful luxury plank flooring marry the living and dining area. The wooden dining room table comfortably seats eight with three additional bar stools in the kitchen island as well as outdoor patio dining options. The kitchen is thoughtfully outfitted with everything for guests to stay in and make meals with family and friends. Highlights are a gas top stove, quartz counter tops, KitchenAid appliances, refrigerator with an ice maker, dishwasher, all the basic appliances and new Ikea cooking appliances. From the house you can walk or bike down to the creek and onward to Starbucks for a latte if you so desire (1.8 miles). The home is very close to both the Clark Fork and Bitterroot Rivers. The Blackfoot River and Rock Creek are also a close drive away. There are activities galore in and around Missoula: fishing, walking, paddle boarding, swimming, hiking, running, biking, skiing (down and cross country), golfing, and white water rafting: the opportunities are endless.
