The hotel itself is charming and the location is great. That`s probably all it has. Possibly it would be enough but it gets destroyed by attitude and extra charges. I am not sure if the staff in there actually know the meaning of the "customer service". Anything you ask the answer is not accurate and very laid back. They are called SPA hotel BUT NO SOAP and towels in spa area. We have paid extra almost 100 euro on top of over 250 euro stay for one hour of spa. Half of the equipment not working properly, swimming pool had way too strong smell of chlorine. Almost like instead of properly cleaning just throwing extra cleaning liquid. No-one ever mention that dressing gowns and towels are not included considering that you have to go to another building. We had to figure out it ourselves on the bad experience. Now if you are planning to have a dinner and pay over the average price be ready to pay extra 8 euro for the entrance to "nothing-special" restaurant. Yes that's right on top of the money that you have already paid to stay in the hotel. After all this get ready for not well cooked meal and waiting ...and waiting to be served.

Excellent stay. Conveniently located just across the street from Concert Hall Dzintari, we found this hotel nice, cozy and well suited for our stay. Clean rooms with a bath in a bathroom (my partner was over the roof out of excitement), nice view from the window. Rather quiet, but then again, October isn’t a touristic month in Latvia in general. We went there for a wine tasting offered by their restaurant (across the parking lot) and stayed overnight, having fantastic experience.

Nicely located hotel and charming old building. Visited 11-13 Sept 2024, likely the commencement of the down-season and not all advertised facilities were available (Salt Cave/Spa), even discouraged by reception from using the jacuzzi as it would require them to heat it up... Double bed was really just 2 single beds placed together, with 2 single duvets placed side-by-side, breakfast so-so.

The hotel is old, definetely not 4 stars. Room beds uncomfartable. It was cold when arrived. Radiators crackled all the night. Breakfast terrible. No swedish style. You have to order from meniu. Spa zone was cold, water in jacuzzi cold also. Good things: near sea and parking.

The place is like from the Planet of the Apes. We made a reservation for one night four days in advance. When we arrived to the hotel, we were told that there is no reservation and no rooms available. It didn't make any difference when we showed the 'Reservation Confirmation' -email that was sent from their own 'SPA hotel Pegasa Pils'-account. The rude lady at the reception kept repeating 'not our problem, don't have reservation, I'm no technical person, no rooms' in bad english. We were given a room only after shouting half an hour and making threats to the hotel manager - not the room we had reserved, but possibly someone else's room. A couple days after I received a 'Changed reservation confirmation' from their system. So they lied to us about not having our reservation.

We booked the room with the balcony and it has been confirmed via e-mail. Once we arrived, there was only dirty sharing balcony with broken chairs-no private balcony as booked, no explanation. Did not want to argue and spoil our holiday mood. The interior it self looks nothing like shown in the pictures: all dated, fridge was noisy. The receptionists hardly speak English. On the arrival, I was completely ignored, had to wait until they will finish talking to each other. I felt like I am interupting their convesation. Receptionist just gave me keys and pointed with finger where to go. Breakfast was disaster! Poor choise of food, had to stand in the queue for 15min to get a coffee! If you come at 9.30 -10am, there will be nothing to eat, all food will be gone and not re-placed. If they will improve hospitality skills, update hotel interiors and expand breakfast meniu it will be a lovely place to stay!

Не понравилось,грязно,пыльно,занавески грязные,мебель старая,на пороге с балконом можно шею сломать ,очень скользко,бутылки/рюмки от бывших посетителей.и это улучшенный номер.завтрак скудный.блюдо-6 тигровых креветок,рукало,пол авакадо,куски манго-16 евро.
